Eton of Sweden
In 1928, after the recession had forced them to close down their sawmill, Annie and David Pettersson started a new business making fine shirts. The company was initially named Skjortfabriken Special, but when an Eton employee brought the shirt collection to the United Kingdom in the 1950’s, it was apparent that the Swedish name was too hard to pronounce. The company was renamed Eton, after the famous and exclusive Eton College. After all, exclusive shirts need an exclusive name.
At Eton, quality and attention to detail has always been the heart of everything we do. We start our process by deciding the colours of the season, which we then use to create our seasonal patterns. Our high quality fabrics are exclusively made out of carefully selected Pima cotton staple fibres that are spun using cutting edge weaving technology and a unique finishing process. This excellent craftsmanship is what gives Eton shirts their outstanding performance.
Today Eton shirts are synonymous with authenticity and high quality, and can be found in stores all over the world. Create your own right now – we believe our shirt will be the best shirt you will ever wear.
