Franklin and Marshall’s success as a college and sportswear brand is based on firm foundations that were formed in 1999 by two close friends Giuseppe Albarelli and Andrea Pensiero, who saw a gap in the Italian market for American College wear with a vintage twist. Little did they know that after only a few years would their Franklin Marshall brand be such global phenomenon.
These two young entrepeneurs found an old 1970s sweatshirt from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in a second-hand market in London. This sweatshirt became the symbol of this unique and ever-innovative brand based in timeless and class design and they brought this discovery back to Italy.
